The revolutionary new Opus 300 Multi-Room Entertainment System by Opus Technologies delivers new standards to multi-room audio at a more affordable price than ever before. Capable of accessing any of 6 available audio sources (CD player, tuner etc.), the MCU300 then distributes any source to any or all of 4
distinct main zones around the house simultaneously, using only one run of Cat5 UTP or Cat6 cable per zone. Furthermore, for every main zone, the MCU300 supports an additional sub-zone which is ideal for en-suite bathrooms, conservatories etc.
Loop outputs for all 6 audio sources are provided, enabling
integration with an existing hi-fi, or home theatre
system. For larger installations requiring more than
4 main zones and 4 sub-zones, a hub-link facility is
provided enabling up to 4 MCU300's to be "chained" together
providing for up to 32 zones (16 main zones and 16 sub-zones). |

Designed to work with the MCU300 multi-source hub, the
VSU300 Video Switching Unit adds full audio-visual switching
capability to the Opus 300 Multi-Room Entertainment
System. The 6 composite video inputs correspond to the
audio inputs on the attached MCU, and can be distributed
to the 4 main zones plus 4 subzones around the house.
When an audio source is selected in any zone via the
WCU310 wall-mounted control panel, the VSU300 automatically
routes the corresponding video signal to the same zone.
Loop outputs for all 6 video sources are provided, enabling
integration with an existing hi-fi or home theatre system. |

WCU330 Sub Zone Wall Control

The WCU330EU is the wall control unit for the OPUS Octopus
Series Multi-Room Entertainment System. Working on the
A-BUS standard, installation is extremely simple with
just one CAT5 UTP or CAT6 cable connection needed to
the main zone amplifier and standard speaker cable to
the hi-fi loudspeakers. Remarkably, amplification for
the speakers is built into the back of the WCU330EU
and a pre-amp output is even provided for driving external
amplifiers or a powered sub-woofer. |

access to the functions of the Opus 300 Multi-Room Entertainment
System, the SRC300 System Remote Control allows the
functions of the WCU310 Wall Control Keypad to be carried
out at a distance. The SRC300 provides dedicated buttons
for Tuner, CD, DVD, and 3 additional inputs, as well
as Local and CCTV inputs, giving instant access with
just one button push. A Select button allows access
to the menu structure with controls for bass, treble,
balance etc. A mute button allows a single zone to be
muted at will, and at the end of the day, the "All Off"
button shuts down the whole Opus 300 Multi-Room System.

The LRC300 Learning Remote Control is designed specifically
for use with the OCTOPUS Multi-Room Entertainment System.
By using the LRC300, users can enjoy sophisticated functionality
from their Opus 300 system above and beyond that offered
by the WCU300 Wall Control Keypad and SRC300 System
Remote Control. The LRC300 not only offers hard-coded
buttons to control the system but also allows source
equipment connected to the system to be controlled.
A single LRC300 can control all local settings such
as volume, source and bass/treble as well as all source
settings such as play, stop and track/station selection

AMR650 Ceiling Mounted Active Speaker Pair £299.00
OPUS breaks new ground in the multi-room entertainment market, with the revolutionary AMR650 A-BUS Active Speaker System. Consisting of a matched pair of high-quality ceiling speakers which are optimised for custom installation and in-ceiling applications, the AMR650 features a wide-angle infra red eye mounted on the 'active' speaker which has all the amplifier electronics actually mounted on its back. This allows full access to volume, tone settings, and source selection controls by using the system or learning remote control. This eliminates the need for a wall control keypad and therefore makes an Opus 300 Multi-Room Entertainment System even easier to install, particularly in a 'retro-fit' situation.
When settings are being adjusted, small confirmation beeps are issued so the user knows that adjustments are being made. The active speaker contains a built-in stereo power amplifier which drives both itself and its passive twin. A pre-amp output is even included for connection to an active sub-woofer or separately powered pair of speakers if desired.
The AMR650 A-BUST active speaker is connected to the
Master Control Unit using Cat5e UTP or CAT6 cable, providing
source signals, IR pass-through, switching commands
and power for the amplifier. The passive speaker is
connected to its active twin via either loudspeaker
cable or another Cat5e UTP or CAT6. |

The Local Input Module 300 (LIM300) is a neat in-wall unit that enables connection of an additional local source
to those distributed by the MCU300. This allows devices such as Playstations™ or iPods™ to be used in the
room or corresponding sub-zone where the LIM300 is fitted. LIM300s can be installed in one or more zones
and connect between the MCU audio hub and a WCU310 amplified control module using Cat-5/5e cable.
Each local source can be intuitively controlled through
the Octopus remote and/or keypad. The LIM300 features
an interchangable ‘easy clip' surround enabling customisation
to suit any room. |

on a constant 24V power supply, which is provided by
dedicated stand-alone power supply unit, the PSA65U-240
Power Supply. The PSA65U-240 powers the MCU300 multi-room
hub and up to four attached WCU300 keypads incorporating
over-voltage and auto resetting short circuit protection
for exceptional reliability. The PSA65U-240 is essential
for powering the MCU300 and is provided separately as
two Power Supplies will be required to power 4 main
zone keypads and up to 4 sub-zone keypads. |
